Entertainment

The residents of Springfield enjoy a variety of regional entertainment possibilities from local theater at the Rocklin Finnish Temperance Hall and Magic Circle Theatre in Roseville to the larger productions offered by the California Musical Theater: Broadway touring shows and the Music Circus theatre-in-the-round.  The B Street Theater in Sacramento is known for its innovative productions of new plays since its first season in 1991. The Mondavi Center at UC Davis explores the full range of the performing arts.

The Rocklin Historical Society offers visitors a glimpse of old Rocklin.  Visitors can also experience Sacramento at the time of the Gold Rush at Old Sacramento on the river. The California State Railroad Museum, located in Old Sacramento, is one of the premier railroad museums.  Old Sacramento, a National Registered Landmark and 28-acre State Historic Park, is also the location of numerous entertainment venues, restaurants, interesting shops and plenty of great places to stay. The Crocker Art Museum, Leland Stanford Mansion and the California State Capitol Museum are just a short drive from Springfield.

The Sacramento River Cats and Sacramento Kings offer entertainment for the sport enthusiast.

The American River Parkway, located on approximately 5,000 acres of open space, is arguably one of the most beautiful paved bike paths in northern California.  This gem stretches from Folsom Dam westward to downtown Sacramento (64 miles round-trip), offering miles of bicycle trails along the American River.

Just minutes from Springfield is Thunder Valley Casino, offering round-the-clock casino gaming.

Springfield residents can also enjoy the city of San Francisco to the west and beautiful Lake Tahoe to the east, each approximately a two hour drive.
